UPDATED: SEP 9, 2021 Bottle sample at a tasting. Hazy bourdoux with pinkish head. The aroma has notes of berries, vinegar, wood, lime, funk. The flavor is mild sour and mild bitter with lots of berries, wood, vinegar, lime, lemon, Lactobacillus, acetone. Dry, medium to full-bodied.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2021 375ml corked bottle, 2018 vintage. Tart currant aroma with notes of gooseberry, red wine, Brett funk and oak. Pours cloudy reddish-amber cooked with half a finger of tan head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with tart currant, gooseberry and Brett funk flavors as well as having a lively mouthfeel. Finishes quite dry with vinous red wine and oak flavors. Excellent sour.

UPDATED: JUL 24, 2021 Bottle at a tasting. 2018ed. Hazy amber red color. Aroma is funky, lots of berries, oak, wine. Sour, red currants, prunes, funky, acetone, wood, vinegar, green apples, wood. Medium-bodied, dry, refreshing. Great stuff.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2021 Dark red color, minimal beige head. Aromas of gooseberries, blackcurrant, cherries and vinegar. Taste of gooseberries, blackcurrant, vinegar and oak.

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2021 Deep red, with a medium pink head. Aroma of fruit, citrus dark berries. Medium sour with a fruit and sour berries end.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2021 375 ml corked & caged bottle, batch #001, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.3%. Deep red to purple colour, large to moderate pink head. Strong aroma of blackcurrants, brettanomyces, oak and lactic acid. Medium sour and fruity flavour, with the same elements as the aroma, lactic acid dominates.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2020 Bottle from (I think) ex-Bottle Shop, Bermondsey stock. Hazy dark red pour with a fluffy pink head. Nose is blackcurrant jam, blueberries, apple and blackberry pie, lots of dark berries. Taste is tart dark berries, lots more blackcurrant jam, oak, funk, redcurrants, red grapes. Long, dry tart & and mildly eye wincing finish. Lovely!

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2020 Rød lett tåkete med rosa skum. Lukter solbærsaft og noe trevirke. Middels fylde. Sursyrlig. Sure bær, solbær, rips og noe sitrusskall. Middels lang.

UPDATED: JUL 15, 2020 2018 Btl pours a clear ruby-purple color with a big fluffy pink head that fades fast leaving very little lace on glass. Smells of fruit, yogurt, wood, earth and musty barnyard. Tastes of sweet blackberry jam, tart cherry, wood, sour patch kids, red wine, funk, forest floor, and hint of leather. Medium body, tingly carbonation, puckering, sour mouthfeel and a dry, astringent finish. I like the fruity flavors along with the tart-sourness going on here. This beer is awesome!
