Svesse (12015) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - DEC 30, 2021UPDATED: DEC 30, 2021 (Bottle, vintage 2016) Dark brown colour, almost black, with frothy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, coconut, wood, dark bread and a touch of coffee. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, coffee, dark bread, bourbon, oak wood, coconut, vanilla, dark fruit, prunes, and a balanced cacao bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Smooth and velvety mouthfeel. Tasty and well made imperial oatmeal stout with a good bourbon barrel character. Really well balanced. Great beer.
Alexander Suraev (36) - Moscow, RUSSIA - OCT 7, 2021UPDATED: OCT 7, 2021 Perhaps I have chilled it too much but the ale tasted surprisingly thin, there was nothing milkey about this milk stout. Loved the packaging, the nice carton box with lengthy inscription and excuses for the beer's name's excessive playfullness.
All in all not a major dissappointment but still nothing to celebrate.
nihtila (5282) - Dunfermline, SCOTLAND - SEP 11, 2021UPDATED: SEP 11, 2021 2018 bottle from Master of Malt. Dark brown, beige head. Nose is cocoa, vanilla, coconut, toffee, milk, fudge, mellow. Tastes malty with soft oaty and milky mouthfeel, notes of bourbon and vanilla are clearly there, toasted malts, caramel, little roast, coffee, treacle, brown sugar, mellow. Nice, soft, doesn't feel as intense although it is definitely not light.

Dark brown pour with a frothy light khaki head. Aroma of vanilla, coconut, oak, and chocolate. Flavor is very good with coffee, dark chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, coconut, and damp oak. A bit lighter than anticipated for a B.A. stout but not surprising given the ABV. Well done, as always, by Firestone Walker.

Olfatto: bourbon, vaniglia, legno, melassa, frutta scura, cioccolato, caffè.
