COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fortitude Standard is a Standard Australian Lager. In fact, we hope it is part of a New Standard in Australian Lager.
Malt? Yep. Hops? Plenty! Sugar? Not a grain in sight!
The thing is…we all grew up drinking Aussie Lagers.. until we discovered we liked flavour. But there’s no reason why you can’t pack a whole heap of flavour into an Aussie lager, whilst still keeping the cold, crisp, easy drinking nature of these beers.
A vibrant yellow colour with fluffy white foam, Fortitude Standard features two New World Saaz hop varieties (Summer and Motueka) lending aromas of citrus and spice, while the Pilsener and Vienna malts give a crisp but malty finish, with more than a nod to our European ancestors.

A nice Aussie larger. Holds it head well and has nice carbonation. Good flavour and very drinkable.

KeefOz (3372) - TARRAGINDI, AUSTRALIA - JAN 4, 2015
Draught at Micro-brewery, Eagle Heights. Poured a slightly hazy pale straw/golden amber colour with a 5mm foamy white head that retained well and laced well. Carbonation very low and fine. Aroma very subtly of citrus (lemon, lime). Taste initially tarty and acidic but turned malty as warmed. Light body. Clean finish. Ordinary at best.

Jado (805) - Camp Hill, AUSTRALIA - DEC 2, 2014
On tap. Clear lemon-yellow in the glass with a one-finger lasting white head and lively carbonation. Aromas of lime, cut grass, lemon zest and a little pine needle. Taste is light at first before a firm crisp citrus bite emerges in the mid-palate. Clean finish with a slightly peppery aftertaste. Not "standard" at all but a cut above regular lagers.

On tap at Pig N Whistle Riverside 250114. Pale looking amber colour with not a lot of aroma. Flavour wise it is a bit thin.
