jase3812 (263) - AUSTRALIA - MAY 29, 2020UPDATED: MAY 29, 2020 Dry hopped with a lazy 10 different hop varieties, this beast has the smell of a barleywine and a taste that matches. There's sweet dried fruit flavours in there with a big malt backbone and despite all the hops, doesn't have the bitterness. They say if you dance with the devil, you're gonna get burned. And on a cold wet Friday night, I'll take the burns thank you very much Founders.
Bif (2972) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - MAR 16, 2020UPDATED: MAR 16, 2020 On tap. Pours a hazy copper color with an off-white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, grapefruit and hint of booze. Taste of pine, grapefruit, with sweet malt and caramel. Bitterness that lingers into the finish. Medium body, nicely balanced with a boozy touch. Nice.
tp35282 (1516) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JUL 17, 2019UPDATED: JUL 17, 2019 Deep bronze, small off white head that laces heavily. Heavy caramel, oily resin and pine, with ripe stone fruit. Hugely bitter resinous pine, balanced well with roasted caramel malt, almonds and grog. Well made but not my thing.

mrjaxson (924) - .08 Junction, WI, Wisconsin, USA - APR 7, 2018Delivers as advertised: This is a big, big IPA with the super-heavy pine-bark-like aroma that makes it seem as though an entire 50-foot Douglas fir was put through the wood chipper and strained into your snifter. Not so much extremely bitter (though it is bitter) as extremely dry. Almost needs a beer chaser. Bottle enjoyed nearly two years after its bottling on May 2, 2016 -- oh the joy of a beer fridge and dark cellar, and sons properly trained to let dad's beer rest undisturbed.
