UPDATED: JAN 4, 2022 Can. Light hazy amner, fine carbonation, big offwhite fluffy head. Nice kiwi, maracuja, lychee aroma. Medium full, lightly sticky puree body, pine resin, citrus, light tropics, quaffable.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2021 Pours a slightly cloudy, golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity, caramel malt and tropical/citrus hops, with notes of coconut, papaya and grapefruit, as well as just a hint of pine. Taste is a good balance of biscuity, caramel malt and fruity, slightly herbal and resinous hops, with notes of coconut, lychee, papaya, grapefruit and pine. Finishes with a medium/strong bitterness and some coconut, papaya and pine lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. While I think that Sabro is an odd choice for a West Coast IPA and it took a few sips to get used to the flavor profile here, this makes for a pleasant example of the style despite being a bit out of the ordinary, which is not something that I'm opposed to at all, but doesn't work particularly well for me here. I'm neither a big fan of Sabro nor those typical coconut notes, but it's certainly bitter and resinous and I like those herbal, minty notes, which give an interesting twist to this and work well within the framework of the style. Overall, this is a bit unusual and not quite to my personal taste, but still an enjoyable and rather interesting example of the style.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2021 44cl bottle. A clear golden beer with a big white head. Aroma of oranges, grapefruits, bitter citrusy hops. Taste of grapefruit, oranges, tangerine, citrus, yeast. Moderate to long bitter finish.
