Appearance: dark amber (cherrywood), translucent, off-white head with good retention. Taste: biscuity and honey-caramel. Palate: Medium bodied, malty with a rather reserved sweetness. Overall: Clean and well composed. A fine U.S. brewed Octoberfest.
DiarmaidBHK (7594) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 26, 2017Taster at brewpub. Pours light brown with a white head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Solid malt notes on the nose. This beer seems to coat the tongue with a thin layer of maltiness. Finished clean. Not my favorite style but it’s very quaffable.
magsinva (1655) - Virginia, USA - AUG 26, 2017Draft @ Free State - clear copper with a white head. This might be the best Märzen I’ve ever had. Great ready malty sweetness, spicy bitterness, but not too much. Very nice!!
PanMarek (499) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 11, 2017Reddish, mostly clear pour with somewhat lasting foam. Bread and malt in the nose with some richness, perhaps chocolately. Flavor follows, but the spice gives the finish some bitterness. Medium body, mild fizz.
