UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before June 2022. Hazy, pale straw yellow with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, a little sourish, rather smoky aroma of grains, smoked ham and light lemon peel. Minimally sweet, quite dry, a bit sourish, rather smoky taste of grains, smoked ham, light lemon and hints of hay, followed by a short, minimally tart, quite smoky finish. Thin to medium body, minimally astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Well-balanced Grätzer with a subtle tart edge and quite some smoke. Highly sessionable, quite refreshing, nice.

UPDATED: OCT 30, 2021 330 ml bottle. Cloudy bright yellow, foamy head. Smoked ham, lactic acid, some oak, citrus notes. Dry sourness, some umami. Light bodied, watery milky texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry smoky finish. Nice!

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2021 'Smoaked', ein Grätzer von Freigeist Bierkultur und Daubringer Hällche, 'gebraut u. abgefüllt ... @ BrauArt Sausenheim, Grünstadt'; Fläschchen frisch vom Brauer in Daubringen. - Lichtes Gelb, trüb. - In der Nase recht kräftig rauchiger Schinkenspeck über zartem hellen Malz, feine herbale Hopfung, Lorbeer. - Antrunk sehr schlank hellmalzig mit leichter doch penetranter Rauchnote. Zarte zitronige Hopfenherbe mit mediterranen Kräutern. Gut rezent, fast dünn. Im Abgang knackige, blaß zitrusfruchtige Bittere. - Leichtes, interessant rauchiges Bier, erfrischend und elegant gehopft, fein komponiert. Doch fehlt mir (wie schon beim Zerbster Bitterbier) ein wenig das Rustikale, das ich mit jahrhundertealten Bierstilen verbinde. (29.8.2021.)
