UPDATED: FEB 20, 2019 Bottle, 2015. Pous mahogany, small beige head, dissipates pretty quickly, leaving a ring, some lacing. Aroma is vanilla, bourbon, toffee, date, raisin, cherry, oak tannin, toasted caramel, pine resin. Flavor is pretty sweet, light plus bitter, hugely decadent. Medium body, lingering bitterness. Pretty xolid.

Bottle at share. Near dark brown , small ring of head. Malty, dry. Taste is leathery malts, but far too dry. BW overload today.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2018 On tap at the Mayor. Dark pour. Aroma is boozy, caramel, nutty. Taste is even better, nutty, sweet. This is really good.

Tap at The Mayor. Very dark cola colored pour with a small head. Caramel, wood, bourbon, some vanilla. Great.

Bottle @ Boring Portland Share. Pours hazy dark brown with a offwhite head. Aromas of malt, coffee, dark fruits, toffee, vanilla. Taste is sweet, malty, caramel, dark fruits, vanilla, light bitter hot finish.

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Mostly clear dark-brown pour with copper highlights and a tiny, mushroom-colored collar. The aroma features bourbon, nutty and toasty malts, demerara and singed caramel. Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and adequate carbonation. The flavor features sweet demerara, caramel, cola and fruity bourbon. Lengthy, smooth, belly-warming finish. Bottle at a tasting - thanks, Kevin! Clear dark brown color with a lasting tan head and large bubbles. Great toffee and bourbon aroma. Flavor is sweet, lots of toffee and caramelized sugar, bourbon and oak. Slick feel, medium carbonation, drinkable for the style. Very legit.

A bottle on Black Christmas 2016 at 12 Kings. Pours a dark reddish copper with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate, dark fruits, some barrel notes. Taste is the same character, very sweet, slightly boozy. Amazing, but I would prefer fewer spices.
