jc1762 (2353) - JAPAN - MAR 4, 2020
UPDATED: MAR 4, 2020 Taster showing dark brown with a finger of latte tinged foam. The nose shows moderately intense notes of lightly roasted coffee and hints of adzuki bean. The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. Forward notes of clean banana and clove. Lacks any roasted malt character.

mrjez (1135) - Osaka, JAPAN - JAN 15, 2019
UPDATED: JAN 15, 2019 Bottle. Dark brown with cola highlights, creamy beige foam. Fun aroma of choc-banana, the roasted malts and weizen esters both showing through. Flavour presents dark malt with ash and slight acridity on the finish, mingling with yeast esters and some clove spice. Drops a bit midway with a slightly ashy unsatisfying finish, would work better on a fuller creamier body, but a decent beer nonetheless.

Bottle sample at a tasting, thanks DSG. Hazy deep brown with a huge beige head. Caramel, fruity esters, nuts aromas. Medium malty sweetness, caramel, coffee, nuts, banana, finish is relatively dry. Light-medium bodied, lively carbonation. Nice.

At a tasting, small stable long lasting off white creamy head, cloudy dark brown color, aroma off wheat waffle and toasty notes, flavor of banana almond and some coffee. Nice and interesting.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2017 Flaska från Japan. Svar/brun kulör med ljusbrun skumkrona. Doft av söt bröd och rostad malt. Vattnig munkänsla. Smak av rostad malt, nötter, soja och honung.

Tap at Waseda Oktoberfest. Pours dark brown, nice foamy head. Aroma has some brown sugar, bit of yeast and very slight roast. Taste is sweetish, has some toffee and some weird fruity or gummy feel that I cannot really place but which feels pretty good. Some slight roast and burnt caramel with nuts. Aftertaste is surprisingly dry and with slight bitter feel. Pretty good, not too sour and has a good balance.

Westkyoto77 (647) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAY 14, 2016
On tap at Kyoto jibiiru 2016. Subtle banana notes, milk chocolate. Held its head high, and was delightfully creamy in the mouth. Good stuff.

A creamy, chocolaty, fruity, dunkelweizen. Definitely not your standard dunkelweizen and would probably only buy this again when I wanted something different from the ordinary. Not bad.
