Pours a light cloudy dark amber with a moderate sized beige head, plenty of retention and lacing.
Aroma of caramel, spice, hay, dried fruits. Promising.
Taste is very malty and semi-sweet but flavoursome with caramel, dried fruits, spice and grassy hops give a nice level of bitterness.
Very nice indeed.

Aroma: malty, spice, fruit cake
Body: thin
Taste: rich, malty, spice, bittersweet
Overall: typically good malt-forward Fullers Ale. Lovely stuff.

En bouche, c'est une attaque légèrement caramel poussant sur le sucre brun, le chocolat et les gâteaux secs (petit beurre lu) puis apparaît une belle amertume puissante !! Terriblement bon !!!

Pours a slightly hazy chestnut brown colour with a large thick creamy off-white head. Aroma is very nutty, with fruit cake, brown bread and caramel. Taste is again nutty with lots more fruit cake, brown bread, caramel and a touch of brown sugar. Perfect bitterness on the finish. Medium to full body with a smooth oily mouthfeel. Fantastic beer and my favourite from Fullers.

Poured clear dark amber with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, fruit, biscuit, fruit loaf and brown sugar. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Enjoyable.

Taste is more of the same with added biscuit notes on the back end. Quite bitter on the finish. Light to medium body. Complex, interesting and quite enjoyable.
