UPDATED: DEC 18, 2021 Tap taster. Poured black color with an average frothy tan head that lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted dark malt, coffee and coconut aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy dark sweet flavor with a moderate to heavy dark sweet finish of medium to long duration. This solid beer met my expectations.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2019 12 oz. can from Total Wine-Viera. Pours a dark brown color and mahogany highlights with a thick creamy light tan head and great retention. Spotty lacing. Very coffee-forward aroma. The taste matches the nose. Dark roasted coffee and creamer flavors dominate. Any other flavors are drowned out. Thick mouthfeel and low carbonation combine for a creamy texture. If you like coffee this would be really good; I dont.

UPDATED: SEP 19, 2019 Deep dark brown pour with a thick light khaki head. Rich toasted coconut aroma with dark roasty sweet malts and a hint of coffee and a hint of vanilla. Big rich dark roasty flavor loaded with coconut and coffee and earthy dark roast. Not super sweet save for the toasted coconut.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2019 Coconut porters are growing on me.....especially a solid one like this! Almost like a dessert beer. Aroma reminds me of Tia Maria, a Kahlua-type coffee liqueur. Dark, but not quite jet-black appearance. Flavor has coffee, chocolate, cinnamon, etc. Kind of like Due South's Calling All Cars (coffee/choc donut porter). Coconut not overly sweet. I will be looking out for this again.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2019 O kurde jestem w szoku jak cienkie jest to piwo! W aromacie jeszcze się broni - troche kawy i czekolady , ale smak - woda z dodatkiem sztucznego kokosu. MEGA wodniste!

snowcrash000 (1790) - Cologne, GERMANY - DEC 27, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2018 Pours a pitch black coloration with a large, creamy, lasting head. Smell is a lovely balance of coconut and roasted malt/coffee notes, with just a hint of cinnamon and earthy spice. Taste is an exceptional balance of sweet coconut and caramel malt as well as roastes malt and coffee notes, with hints of dark chocolate, cinnamon, earthy spice and just a hint of licorice and vanilla coming through as well. Finishes with a very light bitterness and some sweet coconut and roasted coffee notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel with a medium/rich body and medium carbonation. Certainly the best coconut Porter I've had due to the exceptional balance. The coconut is not too overbearing and balanced very nicely by the roasted notes and a good bitterness, as well as some light earthy/spicy notes from the coffe, giving this a perfect balance between sweetness and bitterness. Also has a great, full and rich body and mouthfeel for the style and ABV.

From bottle. Pours a dark dark brown with just a little stickiness on the glass. Aroma is huge with coffee and coconut. Taste follows. Smooth. Easy to drink. Medium mouthfeel. Would be even better without the coffee and coconut. This is nicely made. A lovely beer. Not my preference.
