pivnizub (12576) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 9, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2022 Dösla (Vielen Dank Jonas (&Stefan!)): Golden with an orangey sheen, hazy, medium-sized and stable creamy (off-)white head, moderate to solid sweet-bitter aroma of clean pale malt and “peppery” exotic fruits; robust sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied and astonishingly soft; lingering sweet-bitter finish with pale malt and lingering noble hops. Hats off! Who really needs these very creative creations (a.k.a. Craft Bier), when You can get such franconian gems of devilish drinkability…

Scopey (21884) - Oldmeldrum, SCOTLAND - NOV 4, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2021 Can from HoTM. A beautiful looking beer - hazy golden - orange with a thick, pillowy white head which stands proud. The aroma is fresh and bright, juicy orangey vibes, tangerine, apricot, peach, freshly baked bread, dry grassy vibes, hay, straw and pie crust. The taste is crisp, firmly dry, punchy assertive bitterness which lingers, piney sting, grassy, green, pithy, zesty orangey citrus, rich bready malt base, farmhouse loaf, cereal, toasty grain, grassy, herbal, straw, peppery and just a touch of alcohol to keep everything on check. Medium+ body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Impressive stuff. Big malt base offset with assertive hoppage. Classic example of an IPB (India Pale Bock)...

Leighton (30699) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 30, 2021 Can at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours lightly hazed golden-orange with a big, billowing, creamy white head. Really fun stuff, it grew on me quite a bit. Light to medium sweet with growing piney-grassy bitterness, honey, sun-kissed biscuits, lightly toasted caramel. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Very slight warmth to finish, sturdy piney bitterness, more biscuits and light honey. Wonderful.

Zesty citrussy notes, grapefruit, resin, pine, lots of clove and vanilla, papaya, overripe pineapple, banana, grassy spicy hops. Hoppy zesty bitterness, some sweetness. Taste is sweet caramel with bitter noble hops. A tiny bit of pine. Very soft on the tongue. Very smooth and drinkable. In the finish first some heavy sweetish malts with later some chewy bitter hops. Well rounded. Very good.
