DarkElf (3424) - La Jolla, California, USA - FEB 24, 2019UPDATED: FEB 24, 2019 10-Oct-13 (22-oz bottle: Purchased 10-Oct-13 for $6.49 at The Bine & Vine Bottle Shop in San Diego, CA)
Hit and miss so far for these Gigantic beers new to the San Diego market, and this 'standard fare' Pale Ale is kind of in between. The beer pours a clear, golden-amber body with an inch of off-white head that settles to a thin, bubbly sheet. The aromas are a balanced mix of citrusy, fruity hops and light, grainy malt. This same balance is evident when taking a sip, the lightly sweet, grainy, slightly toasty malt flavors are equaled by grassy, 'green', and somewhat citrusy hops that contribute medium bitterness. The beer is medium-minus in weight, medium in carbonation, and dry from entry to finish. Overall, this is a fine, balanced Pale Ale with no major flaws, but ultimately, it's pretty forgettable.

ttoadee (3175) - Austin, Texas, USA - APR 23, 2018Burnished gold pour, just shy of a finger of off white on top. Nose fruity and herbal. Middle is honey, medium kilned malt, tropical fruit and a splash of berries. Lot going on here. Finish opens fruity but finds that slightly herbal bitterness that was in the nose. Nice display of what hops can do in the right hands.
