rauchbier (4713) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JAN 6, 2022UPDATED: JAN 6, 2022 Can, from Beer52. Faintly hazy yellow, thin short lived white head and gentle condition. Pleasant herbal, grassy hops with hints of citrus in the nose. Soft and hoppy in the mouth with a pleasant balance of sweet grain, hints of sweet grapefruit and lemon, and some grassiness. Finish is muted, with a touch of chalky malt and a low but lingering citrus hop bitterness.

imdownthepub (22082) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2021UPDATED: DEC 22, 2021 Canned, 330ml from Beer52, Edinburgh. Pale gold with white head. Moderate fizz to this. Surprisingly thin on the palate, quite watery initially. There is a thin grainy malted note with a light citrusy, hopped note. Never really get moving but it's okay.

dragnet101 (2331) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - DEC 11, 2021UPDATED: DEC 11, 2021 Can from Beer52. Never had a bad beer from Gipsy Hill (this is my 13th) although never rated one a 4+ either. Lets see:
Look: clear gold, small white head, decent retention.
Nose: citrus, yeast, earthy, its ok but not really inviting.
Taste: as per aroma really, citrusy but with a yeasty-earthiness although some nice floral and spice notes from the hops help to give contrast.
Palate: light to medium bodied, oily.
Fairly average in truth. I'm still getting used to Kviek IPAs and now we are getting Cold IPAs made with lager yeast at warm temperatures. Is the term 'cold' ironic? Anyway experimentation is great but not sure on this sub-style yet. I'll keep an open mind though.
