COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We are incredibly proud to introduce our second barrel aged release. A labour of love, hand bottled and blended. Simply as special as it gets for us - raise your glass for Ponderer. A heavy Imperial Stout aged in a selection of Scottish whisky barrels for 20 months. Three of the best barrels were selected for their contrasting characteristics, creating a blend championing intense aromas of liquorice, blackberry and blackcurrant - with rich chocolate and peated whisky coming into play as the beer warms. A liquid special occasion, your ideal fireplace companion and our reminder of all the reasons we got into beer. Perfect for drinking now, gifting your loved ones, or cellaring for a rainy day.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 750ml bottle from Gipsy Hill as a gift (claimed in gift receipt). Super dark brown. Aroma of sweet malts, raisins and those really fancy prunes you get from M&S. This is smooth AF - not loads of bourbon. It’s really, really nice and incredibly well well balanced.
