UPDATED: MAR 21, 2021 Backlog. Pours very hazy pale yellow with a small white head. It has a fruity citrus aroma and flavor. There’s some bitterness, moderately strong at most, and hops lingers on palate. Lots of sweet malt. It’s pretty good though it seems a bit cough syrupy.

UPDATED: AUG 10, 2019 Draft to rocks glass at Zip's Cafe. Looks decent; a fairly transparent gold with thinner eggshell head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells of pineapple and citrusy hops alongside a moderately bittersweet backbone. Tastes like it smells with a pleasantly bitter medium-bodied mouthfeel. Some caramel on the tongue as well. Enjoyable. Like a slightly lighter Two Hearted.

UPDATED: JUN 26, 2019 12 oz can from Kroger in Short Pump, VA The ale poured a hazy-cloudy very light amber color. The white foamy head quickly dissipated into a white collar on the ale. Nice lacing down the glass. Fruity aroma greets you. The taste is like a lemon-lime soda with an ABV. No hop bitterness. This may be pleasing to some, but not to IPA drinkers. The ale has a light body with soft carbonation. The NEIPA has carved out a new IPA with citrus and tropical fruit, etc and little or no bitterness. I bought a six-pack, 6 beers too many. Golden Road is advertised on The Dan Patrick show.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2019 Rated on 6-08-2019. Best Enjoyed By 06/12/19. The appearance is a small white fizzy, frothy head that is mostly lasting, very hazy amber body, fast rising carbonation observed, and one ring of lacing. The aromas are tropical fruits, citrus hops, pine hops, grapefruit, lemon, vanilla, peach, pineapple, wheat, floral, earthy, sweet, grassy, and malt. The flavors present light bitterness, juicy and the same as the aromas. The mouthfeel is lively carbonation and clean. This beer is medium bodied. I really enjoyed drinking/rating this beer as the flavors are very tasty and likeable. This beer went with my home supper very nice. This beer is not overly hoppy or bitter tasting in my opinion. This is a beer worth trying and a beer that I would definitely purchase again and again.

superspak (9600) - Greensboro, North Carolina, USA - MAY 29, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 29, 2019 12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 6/12/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, watermelon, red apple, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, lactose, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, watermelon, red apple, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, woody, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of mandarin orange juice, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, watermelon, red apple, gooseberry, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, wood, peppercorn, pine, vanilla, cream, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, lactose, and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Slight lingering resins/rinds through the glass after the finish. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.8%. Overall this is an excellent NEIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/fairly earthy hops, lactose, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish; great soft feel. Great Bravo, Cascade, El Dorado, Hallertau Blanc profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great balanced lactose and wheat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressively well made style example.
