Big berry fruity aroma. Juicy tart blackberries, wine, lemon. Yeasty, brett. Woody, spicy. Quite dry. Tart sour blackberries, vinous and a bit acidic. Great depth of flavour. Nicely done. Liked this. nihtila (5282) - Dunfermline, SCOTLAND - OCT 8, 2021UPDATED: OCT 8, 2021 2015 bottle from Master of Malt stash. Pours clear shiny orange, very little head. Nose is nice and complex with woody tannins, tart and sour, dry, little leather, little vinous, balsamic vinegar. Taste is still mouth puckering sour, funky, tart fruity, can still get hint of blackberries and vinous grape notes, woody, vinegar. A lot going on and properly sour for my palate. Unfortunately no fresh one to compare to but doing well.

Dark orange pour with a quick off-white head. Aroma of tart berries, balsamic vinegar, and damp oak. Taste is a wonderful blend of blackberry, red wine, sour cherries, and cabernet oak. Tart fruit lingers on the palate. A wonderful wild ale!

The aroma has notes of wood, acetone, raspberry, yeasts. The flavor is sour with notes of raspberry, wood, acetone, acidic, wine, yeasts, some oxidation. Dry, medium to full-bodied.
