UPDATED: SEP 6, 2020 Copenhagen 6/9 2020. 50 cl bottle from Kvickly, Søtorvet, Silkeborg. Grauballe's usual label design with a photo of the beer in a black circle in this case surrounded by blue. Pours opaque dark brown with a small off-white head. Settles as thin, patchy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of fruit and brown sugar mingling with light sour notes. Brown sugar, caramel and toffee. Sweet plum. Light tartness form the berries. Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth texture. Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderate fruity sourness. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi dry. Pretty light Stout where the flavoring is subtle and discrete.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2020 Aus der Flasche im 2020-07 getrunken. Dieses mit Wachholder gebraute Stout hat leider nahezu keine Schaumbildung, wodurch es nahezu leblos wirkt. Die Balance zwischen Röstaromen, Süße und einer ganz leichte Fruchtsäuere macht das Stout sehr leicht trinkbar.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2018 On bottle @Den Gamle By. Pours dark brown with medium beige foam. Scent: Berries, fruity, light. Taste: Juniper berries, malts, water. Texture: Thin, watery to oily.

2017.09.08: A fine stout with aromatic notes of chocolate, coffee and herbs. Fine appearance and medium bitter- and sweetness. Drinkable!

Actually tastes more, than the nose sense. Having difficulties tasting the juniper.

50cl bottle from a trade with Rasmus40, many thanks! Pours almost black with a mid-sized good lasting tan head. Aroma of dark malt, red fruits, some spices and chocolate. Taste of dark mild sweetish malt, chocolate, some red berries and coffee, okay!

God og spændende stout med friske smagsnuancer af enebær. Tilpas bitterhed og sødme.

Flaske. Farven er mørk mahognibrun med en lys brun skumkrone. Aromaen er ristet malt, solbær og krydderier, smagen er lakrids ristet malt og en anelse kaffe.

Beautiful frothy stout smells lovely of juniper and a little hop. The taste is English licorice with a little stroking coffee. All on a background of toasted malt tones with clear tart juniper. Very delicate finish and fill with juniper clean, and in a way where type correctness as dry stout in no way brought into embarrassment. It’s still a nice tasty dry stout, though rather strong for type, while juniper clean gives it a bold and different twist that fits very well in the whole. A stout as I think everyone would like.

DØE. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt and light berries. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 280515
