COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
St. Bridget, a legendary Irish saint, created a sensation by turning her bathwater into beer. What better way to celebrate her worthy miracle than with our zymurgistic tribute to her feat, St. Bridget’s Porter. St. Bridget’s is a smooth, elegant, and chocolaty brown porter. Brimming with coffee and chocolate characteristics from dark barley malts, St. Bridget’s is carefully hopped to provide the perfect complement to its malty robustness.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2020 12oz bottle at Belmont Station, Portland, OR on 21/08/2008. Quite a nice Porter, if somewhat on the sweeter side; with fruitloaf and brown sugar notes.

Bottled on 1/6/09: This is very malty. On the sweeter side for a porter. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, and caramel malts. Not too much hops. Reminds me sort of like a roasty chocolate Indian Brown Ale. Has a dark dark brown, near black appearance. Not one of my favorite porters, but a solid overall brew.

From old tasting notes. Dark brown color. Rocky tan head. Roasted malt nose with hints of coffee and chocolate. Bittersweet roasted malt flavor has an underlying smokiness to it. Dry hop finish. A great American Porter.

On tap at the Great Divide Barrel Bar. Clear reddish brown appearance with a white head. Aroma of chocolate, toasted malt, light coffee and light roast. Similar flavor, dark, smooth and malty. Medium-light body, a little thin. Not bad overall.

A black body that when light passes an amber hue shows, almost no head or lace to speak of. Aroma of old coffee, roasted malts and chocolate. Initial taste of bitter coffee with light chocolate tones. A little on the thin side, this was an o.k. porter thats worth a try but i prefer something a bit more robust. Originally rated on 11/2/08.

En god porter, der har en fyldig smag af noget nøddeagtigt. En fin øl til maden eller bare at nyde

On tap at the brewery. Deep brown pour with tan head and lacing. Roasted mLt and chocolate on the nose and palate. Sweet malt and coco late palate. A bit thin on mouthfeel, still a very good porter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
