COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crack open Yeti Imperial Stout’s sophisticated sibling -- Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Although these beers come from the same clan, they have entirely different personalities. Aging on a blend of French and toasted oak chips infuses a subtle oak and vanilla character into Yeti’s already intense chocolate, roasted coffee malt flavor and hugely assertive hop profile. Who says you can’t tame a Yeti? 75 International Bittering Units (IBUs).

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2022 0.355 l can from a Systembolaget, Eskilstuna. Shared with little Dina and Habas. Oily black, medium creamy beige head. Aroma is oak at first, tannic, dark caramel with hints of vanilla, dark fruit, also sugar and molasses. Nice wood profile. Shy roasty profile. Chocolate. Medium body, quite roasty, quite bitter. Sticky toffee. Too bitter. Quite tart. Moderate finish, some brandy. The aroma softens down, but the flavour - never!

Jabah (2479) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - MAR 27, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2019 I liked this better than the regular Yeti. Not too oaky and balances out the flavor a bit. Heavy chocolate, some coffee, vanilla, etc. Appearance really doesn't get any better. Jet black with a dark mocha colored head. A buddy poured me a glass to sample from his bomber, but this is something I would grab to try again.

NORSAND (190) - Lillestrøm, NORWAY - DEC 13, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 13, 2018 Nose: Cocoa, vanilla, espresso coffee, sweet oak, cranberries, lingonberries and some cardboard (but not unpleasant). Taste: Rich body, medium to rich carbonation, Slightly sweet arrival but this is quickly balanced by a lot of well integrated (hops) bitterness, making this beer nicely balanced. In the mouth its very much about strong, heavily roasted coffees, like French roasted arabica, Italian espresso etc.The aftertaste is long and dominated by coffee, seamlessly integrated hops bitterness and hints of vanilla. Rich, well balanced and tasty Imperial Stout but perhaps a bit one dimensional in the mouth (is it more about punch than complexity...?).

4.3
BeerVegard (1124) - NORWAY - OCT 2, 2018
0,33l bottle. Pours jet-black with brown head. Aroma of coffee, roast, sweet, coffee bean powder, cocoa powder, vanilla, slight bourbon and wood influence. Taste is big, sweet, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice, slight dark fruit, slightly hoppy in the finish.
