Drjohnrock (1072) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 3, 2021
UPDATED: APR 3, 2021 Twelve ounce bottle procured from Kenwood Whole Foods by my wife or daughter, tasted on April 1, 2021. Medium dark amber color, bittersweet aroma with bready malts, slick texture, flavor like the nose but with bit of a medicinal taste which lowers the score. Doesn't seem as good as when I had it in the past.

UPDATED: APR 24, 2020 One of those perfect spring beers, lightening up on winter's malty stouts and easing toward summer's biting IPAs. Great head (hey, hey, this is a family website) over a light amber body. Caramel and honey wheat bread in the nose. Sweet, then dry finish. I look forward to this ale every year. Bottle says enjoy by 5-5-20.

Pours a deep copper color with a thin tan head. Very malty flavor. I would definitely drink this again!

Slightly clousy amber. Nose is toffee and bread, some fruitiness as well. flavor is bready, light spice, toffee and caramel. Close to as good as an irish red can get for me.

Copper red pour into pint glass. Malty biscuity nose. Earthy, biscuit, and some dark plum. Rich malt flavor that is Slightly toasted, nutty, earthy and bread crust on the palate. Slight bitter note offsets the maltiness.
