355ml can pours a darker golden color with a small white head leaving almost no lacing on the glass. Aroma is mild cereal grains and mild hops. Taste is light malty sweet with a sharper hop bitterness. Nothing special, just another cheap beer.

gilvanblight (825) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - APR 19, 2007
Light for a wheat beer. Thick head. Yellow/gold brown. Distinct taste compaired to the other western beers. Scent weak, again seems a bit sweet. Has the western hop-taste, but more hoppy and a bit better, which seems very odd for a Honey.

LadyCooper (100) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - MAR 13, 2007
Pours gold with a fluffy white head. Has a sweet, flowery aroma. Has a fruity taste, some wheat. Goes down really well!

Golden coloured, on the darker side really, like piss gets when you’re dehydrated. Pretty neutral aroma, faintly grainy. Pretty neutral palate too; on the thin side, maybe slightly sweeter than average but no true honey character that I could discern. Whatever.

Can. Brewnosers Meeting September 2006. Golden yellow, small white head. Muted aroma, with mild honey and grains. Thin watery flavour, light honey and grains again. Inoffensive but quite thin.

faint malty aroma. Pours a amber brown, half decent head. Flavour is musty yeast with some sweetish notes. Watery finish.

pintbypint (4303) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 2, 2006
355ml can. Poured gold, held a bit of a fluffy white head. Sweet aroma, faintly floral. Malty flavour, medium sweetness with honey notes. A bit of wheat detectable in the finish. Medium body and lightly carboanted.

Beerguys (50) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 24, 2005
Poured with a nice fluffy head. Medium golden in colorLight fruity smell and sweert taste. Beer went down very smooth and had little after taste. OK beer to end a hard work week

Fiend (104) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 14, 2005
Started with a fruity-light aroma and poured with a thin quickly fading head. A light flavor with bittersweet tones...but not strong enough to really distinguish any honey or wheat flavors. This is my favorate of the Great Western lineup so far and is a nice beer to drink cold on a hot Saskatchewan summer day.

Pale yellow with hardly any aroma to speak of. It tastes pretty much like any domestic North American macro lager, only with a slightly sweeter finish. Where’s the wheat?
