UPDATED: JAN 6, 2022 1/4/22 - Tallahassee, Fl - Momo's Northside - on tap. Pitch black pour, mocha colored head. Green aroma with fresh coffee bean accents, a touch of anise seed. Bold flavor with solid coffee notes, some licorice, a hint or two of chocolate, eathy topsoil-like finish. Silky smooth mouthfeel.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2020 Lots of coffee. Mostly coffee in fact. Black pour with good head and lacing. Some roast, light dark chocolate. Bitter finish.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2020 Pours opaque coffee with a thick and persistent tan head. Aroma provides rich quality coffee, roast malt, subtle chocolate and woody hops. Flavor features quality coffee, roast malt, dark chocolate, plus hints of woody hops and molasses. Texture yields good body and perky fizz. Enjoy, but please don't get potted.

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2020 From 12 oz can. Pours a clear cola brown with a tan head. Coffee aroma. Flavors are bitter roast espresso.

UPDATED: FEB 9, 2020 On tap at the Parched Pig. Black. Smells of coffee and light roasted malt. Tastes of coffee and roasted malt, but very low sweetness. Medium light body. Drops off in the back end and leaves a little coffee and roasty bitterness. Very pleasant stout. Light and flavorful.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2020 Lovely little coffee stout. Starts with a burst of milk chocolate sweetness, then quickly gains a heavy coffee acidity mixed with bitter chocolate and char, underlined by dark fruit and hints of black licorice. Finishes dry, with a lengthy black coffee bite laced with vanilla and roast. Tasty.

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2017 Tap at the Cafe Key West. Transcluent reddish brown with tan head. Nose is a bitter vanilla latte. Coffee and cocoa with a very oily palate and an abrupt cocoa finish. Nice.

Deep dark brown hue with a light tan foamy head. Bright earthy coffee and roast black malt tones on the nose. Smooth deep roasty earthy flavor that's dark malty and loaded with old coffee grounds and a light acridity. Dark and smooth and coffee'd but tastes like a stale coffee and overly roasty.

Sample during RBWG Tampa, 2015. Deep brown pour with a tan head. Aroma is fairly one dimensional. Loads of coffee character. Roasty char and light notes of chocolate. Similar flavor. Some sweet caramel and vanilla provide nuance. OK, but so straightforward that it’s unengaging.

Keg at the brewpub, RBWG ’15, 20/02/15. Mahogany brown with a tan head. Nose is big on coffee grinds, spice, biscuit, chocolate, toffee. Taste comprises less prominent coffee but still well evident, earthy roast, toffee, chocolate biscuit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent coffee fuelled stoot.
