Smooth deep roasty earthy flavor that's dark malty and loaded with old coffee grounds and a light acridity. Dark and smooth and coffee'd but tastes like a stale coffee and overly roasty.
jackl (8677) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 26, 2016Sample during RBWG Tampa, 2015. Deep brown pour with a tan head. Aroma is fairly one dimensional. Loads of coffee character. Roasty char and light notes of chocolate. Similar flavor. Some sweet caramel and vanilla provide nuance. OK, but so straightforward that it’s unengaging.
