Where and how: traveling in USA, on tap @ brewery
Aroma plenty of chocolate, molasses notes, mild alcoholic warmth, mocha chips on top. Solid.
Appearance :
Top: medium lighter lasting tanned top. Some rings on glass.
Base: dark brown
Palate : medium bodied, average carbonation, average finish, semi dry feel
Taste: dry for Baltic porter style. Molasses, roasted barley aka Inka coffee notes, mild brown sugars. Late bitterness (green twig). Good but not as nice as what aroma presented.

Pours black with thick, rich head that lingers. Aroma is coffee and chocolate, with the emphasis on the coffee. Taste is heavy espresso, light cocoa and a coffee finish. If you love mocha, this is the beer for you.

Bottle from Brewdog Shef. Black no head. Aroma is chocolate and coffee, a touch of farmy pungency and a bit of salty liquorice soy. Taste is very well balanced, most of the other Baltic Porters I’ve had have been pungent flavour bombs that I get sick of after 3 sips, this is actually really drinkable, helped by the light and measured body and carbonation. Good stuff.
