COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Palate Wrecker was originally brewed for the Hamilton’s Tavern 2nd Anniversary celebration. It’s the most complicated West Coast–inspired IPA we have ever brewed—mashing and sparging with hopped wort, in addition to our hop layering regimen for IPA. We use almost 6 lbs/bbl of Columbus and Centennial hops to create this very bitter hop monster (tested at 149 IBU and no extracts in case you were wondering). By popular demand, it is now released for the world to enjoy (even though this beer isn’t for everyone, only the real hop heads!!!). Cheers! - Chuck Silva - Brewmaster - Green Flash Brewing

UPDATED: MAR 14, 2019 Solid beer, but kind of pricey. More about the hops here...sweet start but VERY bitter end. Balanced well with a smooth mouthfeel. Nice resemblance of a West Coast IPA/DIPA. Not sure that I would want to have the full 4-pack of this, but the single sample was well worth it. Just as happy with a Lags or Stone though for less cost.

From A beer hawk mystery case. Awesome aroma and taste. Can’t really tell it’s 9.5%. The hop aroma is amazing and so is the taste. Top IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle thanks to Toby. Pours out amber gold topped with a sand head. Nose is nice big pine citrus floral hops and some nice biscuit malts. Taste is more of the nice hop combo floral notes lead the way with a balanced malt bill.

Comes off with a lot of power but subsides a bit and smooths our on your tongue. Some sharpness. Not for wimps ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Midtown Wine. Pours a clear copper with a finger of foam. Big resiny nose with caramel and piney grass. Some honey on the palate, malty, bready sweetness. Feels kind of heavy. Big piney bitterness that hits mid-palate and lingers through til the finish. Big and bitter, but feels a bit heavy. Older bottle I suppose as well.

Nice amber/orange color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of floral hops, pine, fruit/citrus, & caramel malt; Flavor of slight sweet malt, caramel/toffee, rich floral/herbal hops, some pineapple, citrus (notably grapefruit), and spice; Finish is bitter; Nicely balanced; Quite good DIPA.

Pours caramel, golden and translucent with lots of fizzy carbonation with an aroma of malt, molasses and hops. Tastes of deep rich malt and floral hops. It has an astringent, alcohol finish. It's light-medium bodied with minimal carbonation. It's floral hops with very moderate bitterness. Less bitterness than expected.

Wow. Bitter for bitterness sake. Pours amber. Aroma is citrus, pine, grapefruit. Taste is strong, malty and very hoppy. So many hops that I couldn't really taste them. Just bitterness.

Pours copper with a thin head. A really malty aroma. Amazing bitterness but probably has lost a lot of the flavour it would have had fresh.

Bottle 355ml. Copper, yellow-tinted head. Thick and oily which together with all these hops wrecks the palate totally. All subsequent beers tonight need not apply. Very resinous taste. Aroma is bready and also some hay in there. Drank this when it wasn’t perfectly fresh and maybe some of them alphas were lost but still hoppy enough.
