UPDATED: APR 4, 2021 Bottle from gift box. Pours dim black without head. Aroma of dark malt and fruit. Taste- almost of cheap cider, stale fruit lots of off flavours and revolting musty spice finish. Drain pour instantly. Life too short for bad beer.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2021 Old reviews from 13-04-15 - 330ml Strong Suffolk Dark Ale, part of compilation box, also previously had this as 500ml bottle Strong Suffolk Vintage Ale which is one & the same it seems. Pours near black with a beige foamy head. Aromas & tastes of dark fruits, toffee, wood, hints of spice & malt. Medium body. Moderate bitter finish. Very enjoyable.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2020 Aroma : Medium roasty toffee maltiness, hoppy dark soft fruits notably date, hint of oaky spice. Taste : Medium bodied. Very malty, moderately bitter at first, before fruity & toffee sweetness comes through. Lightlt drying oaky spicy finish. Classic Old Ale

UPDATED: APR 18, 2020 The smell is as an orchard after spring rain. The beer poors dark ruby red. the decent head has amedium retention. the taste has some wood, some plum and some melon, enriched with caramel and some orange peel. Strong does not refer to high alcohol but to a strong taste that pairs well with some cheese.

UPDATED: MAR 29, 2020 Color marrón oscuro, casi negro, con reflejos rojizos, levemente turbia, translúcida. Espuma marfil, muy densa, de más de un dedo de espesor y buena retención. Aroma intenso a pasas, ciruelas, moscatel, leve tabaco y suaves notas de vino. Sabor en esa línea, con madera ligeramente ahumada, final medio, dulzón, con posgusto levemente ahumado, alcohol bien integrado. Textura semioleosa. Carbonatación baja.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2020 Pours black with minimal head. Aroma is malt heavy with plum, raisin, dark caramel and bitter orange peel. Taste is sweet with some bitterness in a chewy decent finish with a nice hint of alcohol. Better than I expected.

Aromat bardzo złożony, składają się na niego nuty winne, czerwonych owoców, zwłaszcza wiśniowe, drewna, toffi, krówkowe i opiekane. W smaku słodkawe, wyraźnie wyczuwalne drewno oraz toffi, oprócz nich nuty winne, karmelowe, likierowe, ciasta nasączonego alkoholem. Pełnia jest średnio wysoka, wysycenie średnio niskie. Goryczka niska, bezskutecznie, i dobrze, próbuje balansować słodycz. Odczuwalne lekkie grzanie w przełyk, tym przypadku pożądane. Bardzo, bardzo dobre i złożone piwo.

Gusto a malta tostada, no ahumada, pero si húmeda, caramelo, madera oscura vieja, pasas, ciruelas, ligera Coca-Cola, un punto rancio y avinagrado (Módena). Cuerpo medio. Está Old Ale es madera líquida, un estilo difícil de conseguir y raro de catalogar.
