COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Combining two very familiar flavors - mint and chocolate - into a big, bold, bourbon barrel-aged stout. We used dried mint in the whirlpool and pure liquid cacao post-barrel, which blend with the oak, vanilla, and bourbon characteristics found in our bourbon casks. It's reminiscent of every one of those desserts that popped into your mind when you read the name of this beer. Please enjoy responsibly!

Cybercat (10436) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JAN 5, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 5, 2022 Pours rich coffee with a thick and frothy tan head. Aroma presents roast malt, sweet mint chocolate and bourbon tones. Flavor yields mint chocolate, roast malt, rich bourbon and slight oaky notes. Texture offers fair body (for a stout) and lively fizz. Strike the harp and bottoms up.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2022 Pretty good chocolate mint on the nose and palate. A bit thin, but otherwise quite enjoyable.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2022 This was an awesome beer. Aroma was all chocolate and mint. Like a girls scout thin mint. Pour was a deep dark brown/near black with no head. Taste was great bitter dark chocolate with a heavy mint back one. Light carbonation. There’s a great bitterness in the finish that keeps it from being too sweet for that ABV.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2021 Black with a small foamy tan head. Sweet, a bit off, strong mint, chocolate and whiskey. Exceptionally long finish. Full bodied and slick.

UPDATED: DEC 28, 2021 From the bottle stamped L1307T2001-0733. Attractive chocolate brown to black colored pour underneath a lingering tan head. I pick up spearmint or peppermint with the first whiff and then I get a burst of wood and booze followed by the dark roasted chocolate on the edges. Light body. Sweet mint and chocolate begin the tasting experience with the Bourbon fruity sweetness on the rear. The booze is not as noticeable in the taste. Leave it to Guinness to make a nice version of one of my favorite stout styles and one I do not see as much as I used to.

tightslice (2689) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 24, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2021 Bottle from Total Wine in Altamonte Springs, FL. Aroma is light mint, chocolate, roasted sweet malts. Taste is pretty malty, light earthy mint, well-balanced but also subtle. This is a good beer but the overall issue I have with this series…when you think of Guinness, you think of the classic thick Dry Stout and in this case you’d expect that plus mint. Otherwise this is a good beer but far from expectations.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2021 Bottle from John's. Pours a almost pitch black hue with a small beige head. Really big nose wafting in mint and chocolate. Smooth, initially big roast, sweeter mint comes in, chocolate, milky. Very good. Smooth.

blackmurder (240) - Whitaker, Oregon, USA - DEC 7, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2021 Amazing. Pours black as night with thin head and minimal lacing. Taste is immaculate. Ice cream like mouth feel with a back bone of junior mints. Nice combination of two flavors. Superb beer. At 10.8% who is complaining. Alcohol is hidden very well.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2021 Aromas of mint chocolate oak bourbon barrel wood roasted barley and malted barley. Taste is thick chocolate fudge toffee oak bourbon malted barley show leather caramel toasted bread roasted barley toffee mint booze barrel wood sawdust and corkscrew. Overall, quite good with excellent barrel characteristics. Mint kind of subdued though.
