BenL8 (1364) - NETHERLANDS - APR 6, 2020
UPDATED: APR 6, 2020 Bottle shared at home during a video chat (the new norm). Pours a deep dark red, some residue, almost no head. Aroma is very vinous, red berries, red wine, a little boozy. Big body, winey texture, smooth, almost no carvonation. Flavour is rich and complex, very vinous, lots of big red wine, the amarone definitely comes through. Lots of red berries as well and distinct wood. Was a bit sceptical at the beginning, it's a big wine-driven beer with Belgian yeast, with the wine BA really making this beer. Unusual but it definitely grew on me. Almost a grape ale tastewise!

rumore (3109) - Rimini, ITALY - MAR 31, 2020
UPDATED: MAR 31, 2020 33cl bottle from Abeervinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours a beautiful dark brown, with nice reflections and moderate cream foam, very fine. Aroma is delicate malty and barrel. Body is fairly dense, with limited carbonation. A little alcoholic. Taste is medium sweet, with a little acidity from barrel agreeing oxidation. Final is average.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2019 3rd December 2019
Hazy amber brown beer, small pale tan head. Light palate, fairly dry, decent fine carbonation. Slightly tangy and thin malts, some sweetness and a touch of fruity caramel. Light spice in the semi dry mid. A winey fruity vibe comes through strong on the backend. Trace of wet wood. Light semi dry finish. Always interesting but but not really engaging the beer soul.

humpah (2017) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - OCT 26, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 26, 2019 Small taster at Musta Kynnys Jyväskylä. Aroma of malts, light tartness, dark fruits, plums, chocolate, alcohol. Medium plus body, slight booziness. Good beer.

AirForceHops (12438) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 6, 2019
UPDATED: JUN 6, 2019 Draft sample. Wow, this would age well! Red grape, mild tannins, toffee, raisins, rock candy. Light ABV that is not distracting to the flavor. A bottle of this aged a year or more would be very impressive.

NORSAND (190) - Lillestrøm, NORWAY - JUN 4, 2019
UPDATED: JUN 4, 2019 APPEARANCE: Deep amber colour with reddish hue. Relatively short lived off white foam. NOSE: Fruity, toasted (almost coffee), yeast, dark plums, hops, wort, caramel, balsamic vinegar (85p). TASTE: Sweetened coffee, some bitter hops, some wood notes, fruity wine notes of plums and cherries. Bitter-sweet-and-sour. Hmm..... I feel that this beer is not quite balanced. It’s difficult to say if ageing will rectify any of this but I'm tempted to try (83p). Total score 84 / 3.4 points.

trapped (6399) - New York, TURKEY - MAY 30, 2019
UPDATED: MAY 30, 2019 Draught @ Randolph Beer - DUMBO (4/28/19). Murky brown with very small frothy off-white head, acidic aroma, low carbonation, medium sour caramel malt taste with woodsy dried fruit flavor, thin body, long finish. Interesting, potent brew.

UPDATED: FEB 15, 2019 (Bottle, 0.33 l, at Pikkulintu, 20190215) The beer poured dark brown and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, dried plums, vanilla and wood. Palate was full bodied and warming and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, wood, vanilla, vineousness, alcohol, sweetness and bitterness. Aftertaste was woody, boozy and bitter. An unbalanced and boozy brew.
