UPDATED: JAN 10, 2022 Dark brown color with a small off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Dried fruits, caramel malts, vanilla, tobacco, wood, bourbon, and lighter booze.

UPDATED: AUG 25, 2021 Hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is brown sugar, wood, ash, toffee, vanilla, and baking spices. Heavy sweet and medium bitter.

UPDATED: JUN 24, 2020 12 oz bottle from beer junction. Was Really flat on opening. Tastes of vanilla and bourbon. Almost completely bourbon taste and very little of the base. It’s great but would like something a bit nuanced.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2020 34.5cl fles. Gisthelder amber van kleur, fijne romige creme schuimkraag. De geur is whisky en rozijnen. Smaak is zoet, whisky, donker fruit, vanille en karamel. Vol body en veel koolzuur.

UPDATED: NOV 13, 2019 2013 vintage bottle. Poured ahazy amber color with a smaller sized tan head. Wood, oak, vanilla, bourbon, dark fruits, and some burnt brown sugar.

UPDATED: JAN 27, 2019 2017 12 oz from the brewery. Adam from the wood is one of my absolute favorite beers and highest rated. The pour is a wonderful nectar like honey brown. Nose is whiskey forward with floral sweet sugary notes. Taste is complex complicated and rich. One taste following another taste and so on. One sip is like reading a book one chapter at a time. Fantastic beer all around.

Hazy blond colour. Delicious malt and vanilla and bourbon aroma. Rich and sweet malt flavour, mellow, with strong bourbon notes, a bit biscuity and buttery in the finish.
Wonderful.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2018 During Black Christmas 2018. Magnum (thx, Simon!). Hazy golden. Lots of bourbon along with some barrel aged vegetables. Very sweet with lots of bourbon and caramel. Nice.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2018 Magnum. Pours a hazy brown with moderate head. Aromas of fuzzy bourbon, raisins and toasted malts. Flavors of perfumey bourbon, fruity esters, maybe some Brett, and caramel malts.wuite nice.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2018 Lots of wood with a touch of caramel and stone fruit. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Caramel, wood and some cooked stone fruit. Long woody slightly fruit sweet finish.
