COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Celebrate thirty years of Hale’s Ales with this doubly good pale ale. This malt-forward pale is made from two-row, crystal, Vienna, wheat and aromatic malts, as well as a dose of oats. Bittered with Apollo, the finishing and flavoring hops include Centennial, Cascade, Chinook and Citra. Open-fermented and dry-hopped for that special Hale’s edge.

10/27 - On draft at Ballard Brewermaster Dinner. Copper colored, with a modest amount of creamy head, with small bubbles and some lace on the side. Aroma is of hops, a bit of leaf and lots of biscuit and caramel. Sweet start then bitter. Medium thickness, slightly oily and a long finish. Really nice!

22 oz. bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out floral notes, earthy notes, and some minty / licoricey notes. Flavour is very dry and hoppy (this may as well be called a IIPA), with piney hops, biscuity malt, and some sweetish cereal. Well-balanced, with a fairly dry mouthfeel. Not the most complex, but nice enough.

Bottle from Haggen’s Grocery, Woodinville
Hazy amber color with medium sized head. The aroma is a bit milky; also a bit fruity. Good body strength; sweet caramel flavor with strong resiny hops, it also has some alcohol perception and some vegetables.
Not bad, but it has some off flavors.

Tall can. Pours an opaque golden honey with light and soft off-white head. Aroma of biscuit-y malts and a complex mix of hops. Taste is overpowered by the hops and bitterness up front, but with a lingering sweetness in the back end. Pretty heavy mouth-feel, with a dry finish. Decent overall

Thanks to 5000 for sending me this can. Orange pour with a white head. The aroma has some very nice tropical fruit notes as well as some pine and biscuit malt. The flavor has some of the same notes. I get a ton of tropical fruit and orange citrus notes. The biscuit malt keeps the bitterness fairly low. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Really liked this one.

Hazy amber color with ivory head. Pine, soap, stale bread aromas. Medium bodied with average co2. Hoppy floral, pine flavors with a light pale malt base___drying finish---

Serving: from can--purchased at PCC. Aroma: moderate pine hop aroma. Appearance: large, rocky, off-white, initial head with very good lacing and mostly diminishing longevity. Cloudy, medium-orange body. Taste: moderately bitter, initial flavor and finish with short duration. Palate: medium body with watery texture and lively carbonation. Overall: very good.

Draught. Pours a hazy darker amber color with a smallish off white head on it. Some EXTREMELY light citrus notes in the nose, though I had to warm it to even smell anything. Taste is a bit sweet up front, though it finishes a little bitter. Kinda unremarkable.
