Hardywood Park 11.5%
Bourbon BA Gingerbread Stout
Pitch dense black with a solid tan head of foam that lingers for ages and a softly spicy aroma. Very flavorful and full bodied with tons of dark chocolate and spicy gingerbread/mint elements. I’m not getting the bourbon but I’ll let it warm up a bit and see what happens. Great stuff.
Jabah (2479) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - MAY 5, 2020UPDATED: MAY 5, 2020 Picked this up for the holidays, but didn't get to open it until around Feb. 2020. Not a huge gingerbread fan. Was the season and been wanting to try some of their other barrel aged stuff...so got sold. Not overwhelmingly sweet, yet strong up front bourbon flavor. Wanted to actually age it about a year or so, but was told to drink this soon. I guess something to do with the spices not lasting that long. A well-balanced heavy beer.

BlackHaddock (12580) - The County Time Forgot, Shropshire, ENGLAND - DEC 24, 2019UPDATED: DEC 24, 2019 Cork and caged 750ml bottle, shared with my son and son-in-law on 23rd Dec 2019. Black bodied, slick and oily, tanned head. The list on the label tells the truth! It has a taste and aroma that has Gingerbread, honey, bourbon, vanilla and cinnamon. My sweet tooth really took to it. Most likely too sweet for some.
tightslice (2689) - Austin, Texas, USA - DEC 11, 2019UPDATED: DEC 12, 2019 Bottle from Trader Joe’s in Campbell, CA. Aroma is gingerbread cookie, cinnamon, nutmeg, molasses. Taste is gingerbread spices, molasses, starchy cookie, creamy vanilla. Arming alcohol on the finish. Wow! Thought this would be a complete gimmick / novelty beer...actually quite good and drinkable (despite being a rich dessert beer).
