I was definitely expecting more from this, as well as all of us I'm sure. After trying Sierra's Wet/Fresh Hop Ales, figured this would be more like that....versus something lager-ish. Kinda like a boston lager with some "fresh hops" added in. A decent beer, just not worth the coin. I liked their Oyster Stout, and want to try the 100-barrell series ESB....but this is probably one to stay away from.

Nice three finger head that dissipates to a rocky foam. Surprisingly little lace (leaving a ring after each sip). Neutral gold color with the slightest of haze. Fresh blended hop/malt aroma--nice balance. Starts with a refreshing malt flavor. This gives way to a hop bite that is more subtle than you ’d expect given the name. This is a balanced beer with some complexity. Very nice body with a moderate amount of carbonation. I note some of the alcohol warmth after the swallow. A well-crafted beer that keeps my interest with every sip.

A - Pours a clear copper amber with a frothy off white head. S - Fresh citrus hops. Very clean. Honey bread, apricot, pineapple. Light spice. T - Toasted honey bread laced with grapefruit citrus hops and layers of fruit. Fruit esters reminiscent of runts candy. Floral hops come out in the middle but the citrus finishes. Medium body. Aftertaste is clean grapefruit. Don’t expect a crazy bitter hop bomb. Expect an extremely clean hop profile on top of a slightly sweet pale malt. Serving type: bottle 10-02-2010

Tasted in 2009. Gold in color with a small white head. Aroma is of grain and spicey hops. taste is of grain and some must hops.

Bottle. This one had some nice hoppy presence in the aroma and taste. What stood out for me was the fresh floral aroma and fresh hop taste. It was a very crisp beer.

Gold, clear, good head. Aroma is sweet with distant pine smells. Taste is cereal malt with sappy fruit. Finish has a bit of bitterness, but not as prominent as most American Pale Ales.

pours an interesting murky orange with a light tan head, the head is really watery... light boring nose, weird pilsner skunk on the front with some sweet caramel on the finish, blah... the taste is out of now where sweet oranges but then the finish is really boring and bitter chalky hops, can’t tell this was wet hopped... not very good

Reviewed from notes. Served in a tulip glass. Pours a moderate copper-amber color with a white head. Touch of lacing on the way down. The nose is citrus hops with a bit of a caramel backing. The taste is far too much caramel and bread, especially for a wet-hop beer. Those flavors overwhelm the citrus hops that are there. Feel is nice with a very mild bitterness.
