Best of the coffee ipa i have had i think. It actually works on this. Still i want my coffee in a stout and my hops in a pale ale. ..
Ktwse (6833) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 5, 2018Pours cloudy amber with low white head. Aroma of coffee, surprise surprise, grapefruit and citrus. Light bitter taste, coffee and a bit of chocolate coming through. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation.
TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - MAY 10, 2017Draft pour on tap at the Randolph Brewpub (Chicago, IL). Fun to write that for the first time. Pours a coffee, toasty tinged amber hue. A brownish, tea chocolate toast hue with decent haze, a bit of dulled, burnt orange and frothy offwhite full head atop. Aromas are coffee, citrus, grapefruit and florals. A bigger bitter bite, earthy and toasty roast coffee, bready malts and some touches of earth. Firm bitterness, coffee that sustains, and a malt body that stays cleaner than most Haymarket offerings. Tasty, coffee driven, a fun play between the citric and floral hop bitterness. I really dug this for what it was.
