UPDATED: OCT 11, 2021 Clear golden, white head that rings and laces. Lots of honey, thin hay malt, mild gooseberry mostly in the finish. Feels a little thin, but generally ok.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2021 Im Glas ein minimal trübes Honiggelb mit geringem, schnell schwindenden weißen Schaum. In der Nase saure rote und grüne Beeren, Stachelbeermarmelade, Mineralwasser, eingeweichte Gerste und vergorene Zitronenscheiben. Im Mund flach, wässrig, etwas saure Beeren mit Mineralwasser, ein Hauch Honig, dazu etwas leicht metallisches.

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2021 Аромат просто солодовый, никакой ягоды я там не нашел, как указанно на упаковке. Может есть намеки на мед и легкую сладость. Цвет золотой, пенка средняя. Вкус снова очень солодовый, но уже немного поинтереснее. Есть общая сильная сладость. Даже похоже на кёльш немного. Уже больше ноток от меда и даже карамели легкой. При глотке солод классический, может легкий намек на травы. В целом не выразительно и не очень интересно.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2021 Surprisingly herbal nose with faint wheat, hay and confectioners sugar. Gooseberries come through more on the taste, which is lightly tart, crisp and a touch medicinal. Simple ale with some weird infusions.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2020 Cask at GBBF 2006, Earl’s Court on 02/06/2006. I found this to have a slight soapiness in amongst primarily sweet flavours. Not terrible, but something that was a little ajar.

UPDATED: APR 5, 2019 [as Williams Brothers Grozet Gooseberry Ale] Bottiglia. Un territorio olfattivo dominato dallo speziato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma resiste abbastanza. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. La parte liquida appare limpida e anche qui la grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. La carbonazione è morbida e persistente. Il colore è giallo ambrato. Il corpo è pieno. L'amaro è nella media e c'è anche una componente leggermente acidula. La forza gustativa è elevata. La continuità gustativa è sufficiente, per una birra che ha una sua personalità. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di miele, frutta secca, erba, agrumi, spezie, pompelmo rosa, mandarino, uva spina e mela verde.

Bottle. Pours pale amber. Aroma is gooseberry indeed, strong and clean. Body is medium, pleasantly fruity, gooseberry, lively carbonation, softly bitter, decent body, well balanced. Refreshing and tasty. Good!

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2018 Hazy golden beer, light fruit aroma and a decent white head. I dunno what gooseberry tastes like so I couldn't have picked that out but I like the crisp, tanginess of it and there's a nice hint of sourness to the aftertaste. Beer garden material.
