COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Siren Noire isn't your father's chocolate stout. We've used almost 3 pounds of Belgian coco nibs per barrel. We've aged it for five weeks in bourbon barrels with vanilla beans added. A mix of dark malts gives Siren Noire a well-rounded body that is decidedly chocolatey - but without being extraordinarily sweet. Brewers Gold hops contribute an earthy spiciness, with notes of black current.

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2021 It pours dark brown with a brown head. Head retention is good. It has aromas of bourbon, cherries, and chocolate. There are some roasted elements and slight pipe tobacco. The chocolate flavors lead the way with bourbon and then cherry. There are some roasted and vanilla elements in the background. It has a full body, but is quite smooth. Overall, there are a good complex flavor and aromas.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2020 12 oz bottle from Total Wine and more in Short Pump. VA The stout poured an inky black with a small tan head that quickly dissipated to a tan collar on the stout. Some spots of lacing.. The aroma of rich chocolate and hints of vanilla. Some whiffs of bourbon also. The taste has chocolate, molasses, and vanilla. The bourbon flavors are nicely balanced with the heavy amount of chocolate. The stout has a medium body with soft carbonation.

drpimento (6063) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 12, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2019 The Aromas are dark malt, roast, cocoa, and a hint of spice. Flavors are very much like nose, on the sweet side with some heat and metallic in the Finish. But the heat is more like spicy heat not alcohol. Very little sign of the Bourbon Barrel except maybe at the very end. Good Imperial Stout but nothing exceptional

Pours black with small, light beige head. Aroma is heavy cocoa, vanilla and dried fruit. Taste is rich, yet not bitter, chocolate and raisin, warming to vanilla and coffee. Finish is super smooth cafe au lait. A really, really well done stout.
