O- Don't get any bourbon influence. Pretty traditional. Not bad but maybe a bit overrated.

There are some roasted elements and slight pipe tobacco. The chocolate flavors lead the way with bourbon and then cherry. There are some roasted and vanilla elements in the background. It has a full body, but is quite smooth. Overall, there are a good complex flavor and aromas.

VA The stout poured an inky black with a small tan head that quickly dissipated to a tan collar on the stout. Some spots of lacing.. The aroma of rich chocolate and hints of vanilla. Some whiffs of bourbon also. The taste has chocolate, molasses, and vanilla. The bourbon flavors are nicely balanced with the heavy amount of chocolate. The stout has a medium body with soft carbonation.

Flavors are very much like nose, on the sweet side with some heat and metallic in the Finish. But the heat is more like spicy heat not alcohol. Very little sign of the Bourbon Barrel except maybe at the very end. Good Imperial Stout but nothing exceptional
