UPDATED: MAY 24, 2021 Well stored bottle sampled May 2021. Black body under a thin beige head. Aroma of dark malt, moderate roasted, coffee and mild, warming alcohol. Taste is sweet, light roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and warming alcohol. Surprisingly light body for a beer at this strength, medium aftertaste. A pretty smooth imp. Stout that I assumed gained on some storing with references to early ratings. The alcohol is smoothened down, but I think some of the malt flavor and body as well. Nice but not great.

Nurmis (1979) - Oulu, FINLAND - DEC 6, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 6, 2018 0,33l bottle, bought from vinmonopolet Tromssa in the summer of 2017. Pours black with slightly tanned lacing. Licorice, smokeyness, bit of roastiness. Bit on the sweeter side, but not overtly so. Soft carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. Good.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Hazy, slightly transcluent medium brown with diminutive tan head. Alcohol, red berries, herbs, licorice, char, a bit sour. Berries, aquavite-y herbs, more roast malt. Surprisingly flat palate. I think the alcohol mentioned by others has mellowed in the 6 months in my cellar. I don't find it displeasing at all.

Flaske 330 fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Sentrum. Batch 475. Mye bunnfall.

0.33l bottle. Not as much as a bubble on the pour. In the glass this, a deep dark brown looking body. It smells OK I guess. Slightly sourish roasty. Sometime get that in these kind of beers. Blackcurrants and blackberries. Hints or raspberries also. Sour old coffee, some burnt sugar, a hint of something roasted. It’s not a massive or really pleasant aroma for an on the paper massive and pleasant beer. Let’s taste it. Loaded with molasses and musvovado sugar in the taste. Tar and deep dark sticky oil. It’s mild oily in the mouth and it’s soft near flat on the bubbles. Roasted and dark flavors. Molasses, burnt toast. Traces of chocolate wrapper coconut and some burnt ashy tones of wood. Well, it’s definitely not a bad one, but I feel no needs for another one. 03.06.2017

Brunsvart farge med lite skum. Lukter av mørke stenfrukter, alkohol, salt lakris. Fyldig noe salt i smak. Noe tørr salt avslutning.

Hopmaestro (2082) - Örebro, SWEDEN - APR 18, 2017
Aroma is dark fruits and dark overroasted malts and actually brings a slight sour-ish, wet wood scent. The brew is low on carbonation and taste brings sharp roasted malts, soy sauce and dark very bitter chocolates before kicking into an alchol bonanza in the end. This effect sadly enhances the bitterness and also that slight wet wood sourness that comes in hard at the end. This doesn’t do it for me, but if you like really vodka-stingy beers, go for it!

bergstaden (6306) - Røros, NORWAY - MAR 28, 2017
Black with a small short lived brown head - Dark malt and dark fruity aromas - Dark malt body with hints of herbal flavours and some hints of dark chocolate and wood with alcohol heat - The dark malts goes into the finish with alcohol heat - a little bit to much alcohol heat, but stll a nice beer
