ajnepple (12995) - Lakewood, CO, Colorado, USA - AUG 20, 2021
UPDATED: AUG 20, 2021 Draft at Wrigley Field. A basic domestic lager with no frills. Mildly sweet with minimal bitterness and a watery finish. Drinkable in this circumstance I suppose.

Mr.Spooks (4080) - Tennessee, USA - JAN 18, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2021 Subpar, even for an American macro lager. Large swipe of corn sweetness grows flat and ricelike, then gains an undertone of lemon and bread. Finishes with an unnameable bitterness and lingering a aspartame sweet streak. Much better cheap hipster beers are available.

UPDATED: JUN 27, 2020 Bought this from the 'Beer Roulette' machine at The Hi-Lo bar in Manhatten KS. Fun time taking a chance for $3 to get a good craft or just got this one. This looks and tastes like water with a little stale after taste.

Shag (3519) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - DEC 7, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2019 A light golden color with a white head. The aroma contains some lemons, corn, and hay. The flavor is slightly sweet and rather crisp. Lets be honest this is about on par with most BMC standards maybe a little more malty. Hats off to history though. Overall ok for what it is

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2019 Draft at Wrigley Field. Your typical gahbage AAL. Clear yellow gold with a fading white head. Aroma is grainy with chemicals. Flavor is grainy with chemicals, slightly sweet. Light and fizzy. If this is old style, then unlike Romey Rome, I'm from the new school.

riggsfc61 (1724) - Franklin, North Carolina, USA - AUG 26, 2018
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2018 Found from can. Almost not even worth rating. A very unpleasant pungent smell with a taste to match. The aftertaste is even worse and hangs on for way too long.

Not a bad beer at all this at a local shop here in Tennessee decided to give it a shot. Smell of fine barley and a hint of cereal. Taste like a beer my grandpa would have been pround of. I don't care for fancy beers that cost 13.99 for a 6 pack and has orange slice mangos in it, if you enjoy these please send your man card in. But anyways for what it is; it's not bad, I would recommend and drink it again alot better than bud light. I prefer hamms myself, but this will do and I will enjoy again at a later date. Not bad old style.

Can. Colour...clear gold with no head. Nose...what nose?? Well...a smidge if wet corn and a whisp of cut hay. Palate.. what palate? Well...creamed corn and then it’s gone.

not sure the knock on this beer. It was the number one beer in the city for a long time for a reason. People seem to brush it off, but Chicago is a city of history and this was it's beer.
