COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the summer of 2020, Rush and Henderson began taste testing many prototype brews and early in 2021 the band and the brewery both felt they had come up with a brew they could stand behind. Subtly complex, refreshing and satisfying and uniquely Canadian, as the beer gets its taste from Canadian ingredients, including Rye. “Rush Canadian Golden Ale is golden in colour with a dense ivory head. It has an earthy aroma with hints of orange-peel, pine and spicy rye. While the emphasis is on refreshment, there are elements of pine, rye spice and a citric hop flavour that add to the subtle complexity of the beer,” remarked Alex Lifeson, the band-proclaimed Beer Scientist.

Tessic (1979) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 16, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 16, 2021 This ale poured a hazy golden amber colour with a creamy, off white head. Nice lacing. Scents include honey, malt, a little spice and a tiny amount of skunk. First swig was expected sweet but turned slightly bitter. Flavours of malt, straw and hops. Finish is mildly hoppy with a slight malty bitterness lingering.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2021 Oh it's golden, and it an ale, just as advertised. And that's about it. Lots of malty hay, decent density, some bitterness on the finish. This is a solid ale, but nothing terribly interesting.

UPDATED: NOV 8, 2021 Can from the LCBO. Another bland golden associated with another band. DO we need more of these? Gassy hops, slightly bready, and sweet cereals. Meh, run of the mill golden ale. It's not bad by any means, but its it what it is. Just a golden ale. Lawnmower beer.

HogTownHarry (8952) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - NOV 3, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 3, 2021 473ml can courtesy of blankboy - thanks, man!! Mostly clear deep gold pour, small white head. Aroma and taste - slightly sweet and grassy standard Canadian lager - simple, a bit sharp (in a good way - yes, a rye bite!) ... hides the alcohol. Average body, solid carbonation, medium-quick sweet grain yet grassy bitter finish - pretty clean, not shy either. Circumstances Fly By Night for this Working Man okay I'll stop.

jksipa (1582) - Newmarket, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 22, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 22, 2021 Can from the LCBO. Clear medium amber with a large foamy white head that fades slowly and leaves tight lace. Nose is crackery malt with some light grass, caramel ans so a hint of pepper. Light fruity sweetness with a light+ grassy bitterness and light spice. Mouth is medium and creamy with average carbonation and a lightly bitter finish. I was afraid I was going to be disappointed, but this is solid. 7/3+/7/3+/14

pootzboy (2078) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 6, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 6, 2021 Can - Pours a light gold clear ale in the glass with a 2 finger white cap....aromas of boiled grains, spice and soft sweetness....has a character much like the Molson Golden ale of old but more robust...soft plate lightly sweet with enough hopping to offset....clean malty finish with increased bittering..very drinkable...certainly a Canadian golden ale not retro but improved by gristed malts

PeteP (30) - Cornwall, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 5, 2021
UPDATED: SEP 5, 2021 Preface: As a Rush fan and a Canadian, I am honoured to post the first review of Henderson's Rush Canadian Golenn Ale. Pours medium amber, and a perfunctory, creamy head, into my pint glass. Plenty of lacing on the glass. Aroma of spices and malt. First sip is a familiar Canadian Ale maltiness, but with a subtle caramel sweetness. Additionally, there are notes of tea and creamy mouthfeel that do make this a 'better beer'.
