UPDATED: JUL 6, 2020 Draft. A brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of smoke, roasted malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of smoke, malt, caramel, and bread, leading to a dry smokey finish.

UPDATED: OCT 6, 2019 Robe sombre, mousse beige. Caramel, fruits secs, liqueur. Plutôt sucrée. Le côté fumé est très discret. Agréable mais pas exceptionnel.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2019 Geproefd op 6 juli 2019 van 33 cl flesjes @ Bierjutterij Oostende. Bijna helder die donker roodbvruin met romige lichtjes beige stabielere kraag. Aroma: geroosterde mout, zoetje, gedroogd donker fruit, kleine rooktoets, karamel. Medium body. Smaak: zoetje, geroosterde mout, lichtjes gerookt (meerwaarde), tikkeltje zurig bij momenten, karamel. Aangenaam en met mij gisteren heel veel positieve reacties op dit bier.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2019 Draught at Taphouse. Hazy orange coloured with a medium sized off-white head. Fruity aroma of caramel, dried fruits and smoke. Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel and dried fruits with notes of smoke. Sweet finish.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2019 2/II/19 - sample @ Brugs Bierfestival, BB: n/a - (2019-176) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing todays’ beers! Little cloudy red brown beer, creamy off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of banana, caramel, dried fruits, malty, grains, some cow fodder. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, bit sour, ever so slightly smoky, sweet. Aftertaste: more dried fruits, caramel, unripe banana and banana peel, rather boring.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2019 Draught at 't Anker. Red-brown color, full sized beige head. Aroma and flavor are malts, caramel, sweetish, caramelised sugars. I don't really get the smoky touch. Can't imagine they gave me the wrong beer on site. So most likely it is only lightly present and due to my hayache I don't smell much. Anyway, I like it. 8-3-7-4-14.

UPDATED: APR 27, 2019 Tap @ Erlings, Aarhus. Clear brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit and light peated. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish. 270419

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2019 Bottle at brewery pub (only place to taste). Looks like classic: also clear ruby dark brown, wil g lasting tan head. Weak aroma, don't get the smoke!; smell aclittle wet laundry... Taste also bit brown sugar, but not as sweet as the 'classic', also dark fruit, a bit irony, but also some freshness. Strong carbo. Well, peated or smoked?? Nope. Although I nearly het toe small illusion of a little whisky.
