UPDATED: DEC 12, 2021 Bottle from Beerhunter111. Many thanks! Light hazy amber colour, white foam. Nose of smoked ham, toast, bread. Taste is light smoky, bready. Not bad but also not the best Rauchbier.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2021 Clear amber a medium white head. Aroma had light smoke, ham, toasted malt and light caramel. Over the palate came smoked malt, hay, ham, bacon and caramel. Finished dry.

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2021 Hazy amber with an off-white head. Aroma is roast and smoked ham. Taste is more ham, the smoky flavour is somewhat chemical, a latent malty sweetness.

UPDATED: JUN 9, 2021 A good looking transparent dark copper, a couple of fingers of nicely persistence white head. Pretty good lacing too. A not very strong aroma shows a soft, slightly caramelish maltiness, delicate smoked notes (meaty, slightly ashy), perhaps a flowery hint. Taste is medium to high sweet and medium to low in bitterness, again with mild smokiness. Maybe the slightest hint of tartness too. Overall still in good balance with a clean finish. Taste notes as per aroma. Light to medium body, with quite low, extra fine (small-bubbled) carbonation, resulting in a very smooth, super easy mouthfeel, perhaps borderline watery. What really defines this mildly smoked rauchbier is softness and smoothness (there's a percentage of smoked wheat malts). It's pretty good at that: clean and easy drinkable, but it doesn't show much depth.

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2021 Clear dark golden/light copper body with a big foamy but collapsing white head. Aroma is grainy, with light herbal notes and subtle smokiness. Taste is herbal, malty, somehow mineral. Smoked notes? Fehlanzeige! Malty and grainy finish with a soft herbal touch. Light body average carbonation oily texture

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2021 Bottle from Hier-Gibts-Bier, webshop, Eckersdorf, Bayern and consumed at home. Had this Saturday 1st May 2021 listening to Earth - Full Upon Her Burning Lips. Pours dark copper in colour, with a fast disappearing white head, excellent clarity. The smokiness was very apparent on those earlier sniffs but it has calmed somewhat now. Lovely soft moutheel, smokiness apparent, maltiness also showing, light caramel, good, simple, Rauchbier.

UPDATED: APR 24, 2021 50cl Flasche. Eine klare dunkel goldene Farbe, geringe weiße Schaumkrone. Aroma: angenehm rauchig, würzig, Karamell, Schinken. Geschmack: schön geräuchertes karamelliges Malz, Schinken, brotig malzig, leicht würzig hopfig.

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2021 Bottle. Deep amber, low carbonation and head. Bready malt, medium dry mellow body, light wood smoke, burnt dough. Pleasant aromatic coal smoke aftertaste.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2021 bottle from meibier.de. Brown with a creamy beige head and lovely smoky nose. Medium-bodied, good malty base with roasty and smoky flavours. Not too smoky but also not too timid - just right. Well b alanced, easy-going smoked lager. Delicious and very moreish.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2020 Flaska från Hier Gibt's Bier. Gyllenfärgad klar vätska med lågt skum. Stor rökig doft. Lägereld och charkuterier. Lätt/Medelstor kropp, rejält rökig smak, ändå lättdrucken och pigg, lätt beska. Riktigt trevlig
