UPDATED: MAY 27, 2019 Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from the brewery. Bottled in 2015. Pours clear honey-gold with a small, foamy white head. Compelling aroma, zesty citrus peel, mild farmhouse funk. Lightly sweet with soft acidity, a bit more zesty accent, lemon, salt, pale wood, background crispy wheat. Light bodied with delicate, massaging carbonation. Quenching finish, lightly drying, refreshing lemony tartness, further relaxed acidity, pale wood, salty bite, soft floral notes, restrained sweetness. Masterful.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head and plenty of sticky lace. Nose shows funk, white wine, gin botanicals-juniper stands out the most. Flavor shows a lot of gin influence as well, maybe a tad more than the nose. Lots of juniper, a hint of licorice, flowers and other botanicals I can’t put my finger on. Medium body. Nice beer--the year in the gin barrel really did a number on Clara. Its almost a totally different beer. Impressed such a low abv could stand up to the intensity of the gin as well as it does. Might work better in another HF saison but I was very happy to get to try this.

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with small white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is strong juniper, rosemary, oak, funk. Medium body, wood, mineral, juniper, herb, light dryness, very nice.

Poured from a bottle into a sample glass: Pours hazy straw with a small white head. Aroma of gin, bread, lemon. Taste is the gin botanicals up front, with lemon, grass, and tartness on the back end of the sip. Very dry, really enjoyable, slightly strange but it works well.

Really interesting beer courtesy of Jared. Golden pale clear color with moderate quickly fading white head. Aroma his you right off with gin in your face with also mineral, cracker malt, and lemon notes. Taste is up front herbal gin and a spirity finish where you get some of the base beer. Really interesting but the barrel is a bit heavy handed for such a soft base beer.

Bottle shared by tom10101, many thanks man! It pours a hazy golden with a small white head that leaves nice lacing. Nose is of dill, herbs, oak, gin with a bit of dust. Taste is of gin, lightly tart, fruity and herbal. Some light warming alcohol appear in the finish. Light body and a soft carbonation. A subtle, classy and delicate barrel aged saison. Yum!

pours hazy/cloudy medium dark golden with a small white cap offering some retention and lacing. insanely dilly and herbs and conifers-driven, rosemary, lemon, butter, cheese, ginger, few peppery wheat notes, relatively complex flora; salt. moderate carbonation, light body - watery; dry and tart citrusy-herbal finish. wild sati angles - nice stuff.
