COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ralph Waldo Emerson’s essay "Self-Reliance" inspires and compels our persistent reflection, examination, and refinement. To that end, we present you with our Self-Reliance series of Farmstead® single-hop India pale ales. This release was brewed in August of 2019, generously hopped with Amarillo® sourced from Germany, and aged in oak puncheons for 3 months prior to bottling.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2021 75CL split 2 ways, nice golden pour, no sediment, aggressive head though like it sort of snuck up on me. the aroma is more grain and dough and wort than hops. lightly sweet, grass, dough, rye and malts. Fantastic mouthfeel, really coats the mouth and hangs around leaving a honey and malts finish with sugar. citrus up front. Really lovely variant.

UPDATED: OCT 25, 2020 Fad. Ligner sin fætter Nelson men er et helt andet dyr. Samme udseende, men helt anden duft og smag. Tydelig brett, smagen er ikke så gennemtrængende men stadig syrlighed og let brett. Ingen tørhed. Fin øl

PhillyCraft (11988) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 3, 2020
UPDATED: AUG 3, 2020 Bottle, Lacking the depth of some of the others in the series, but thankfully, it’s much better than the German Cascade. Hazy yellow with medium white head. Notes are lemon verbena, funky herbs, lemongrass, pepper, minerals, and lime. Lighter bodied with a quick finish.
