Braudog (8154) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - NOV 23, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 23, 2021 Bottle. Golden and crystal clear. Well topped. Pungent corn-laden aroma. Fairly even-keeled and unremarkable light lager. Doesn't come with the extra dose of caramel you typically expect from a Festbier, but drinkable and clean.. (#8089, 11/2021)

hman43 (3700) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - SEP 17, 2021
UPDATED: SEP 17, 2021 It is golden and very clear with a white head. Head retention is good. It has a dough aroma with very low toast. There are low amounts of spicy hops with an herbal touch. It has some doughy flavors with very light toast. It has medium spicy hops with a touch of herbal elements in the background. It has a medium body with a spicy bit in the finish. Overall, although the malt leads the way, the hops are well noticeable as the beer is almost balanced.

3.3
Hiero (256) - Dallas, Texas, USA - SEP 12, 2020
UPDATED: SEP 12, 2020 I'm not sure how this is labeled a marzen, but the front calls it a golden lager beer. It was stocked with the marzen beers in my store. This is very characteristic of a German lager. There's slight breadiness to it, so maybe it's just the color throwing me off, but it tastes much like a lager. Given that, I actually like this. Clean, refreshing, yet with a little texture to the body.
