COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hofflegen is a Belgian craft beer which has a refreshing taste and a fruity, slightly smoked aroma. The unique blend of herbs and spices gives the beer it's delicious flavour and individual character. Hofflegen wheat is fermented with its own yeast strain of high fermentation which gives a smoked aroma together with a perceptible fruitiness.

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 750ml Corked bottle from Aldi, Wrekenton, Gateshead. Cloudy straw coloured with a large white head of foam. It has a lemon and bubblegum flavour with slight smoked notes, herbs, spices with biscuit and more lemon and bubblegum on the smooth finish. Good.

BlackHaddock (12580) - The County Time Forgot, Shropshire, ENGLAND - NOV 28, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 28, 2021 Cork and caged 750ml bottle from a local Aldi: BB 13th December 2022. Shared with my son on 28th November 2021 (while he put up the Christmas Tree). Hazy dull orange body, weak white head. It's just like a slightly darker 'Hoegaarden', the bottle is very similar too! Spicy and wheaty.

downender (10656) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 27, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 27, 2021 750ml Bottle from Aldi. Golden in colour, with a frothy, white, head and slight haze. Grainy malts, a hint of lemon and coriander, a touch of banana sweetness, before some spice in the finish. Solid drinking.

MarcinG (3458) - POLAND - NOV 18, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 18, 2021 Butelka. Zamglone o złotym kolorze i obfitej, białej pianie, która opada powoli. Dominują nuty bananowe, trochę gumy do żucia, drożdżowe akcenty, ziarno i biszkopty. Wysycenie średnie, słodycz umiarkowana.

ManVsBeer (16147) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 8, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 8, 2021 Bottle from Aldi Supermarket, Todmorden. Dug out my sturdy Hoegaarden glass from the back of the cupboard for this one... can't think why! There's a similar taste to the aforementioned in this brew, with banana evident. It's not quite as tasty though, however it's not a bad wheat ale by any means. Hazy golden colour with a carbonation and a frothy-bubbly head.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2021 Cloudy golden colour. Aroma is sweet, coriander, very little smokey. Thick creamy palate. Taste is malty, coriander, citrus and a little sweet.
