UPDATED: JAN 7, 2022 500ml bottle from Giant Eagle Grandview (for $6.99... very un-Hoof-like price for something like this): see-through gold pour with small white head. aroma is lightly tart grape, oak, citrus. tastes are tart with underlying fruity sweetness. oak, vinegar, lemon and a hint of the wine. long moderate tart finish.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2019 This beer is a slightly cloudy orange-gold color with a thin white head that recedes quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of oak, citrus, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with a vinous oak character and notes of lemon, herbal yeast and doughy malt. The finish is oaky and tart with a wine and citrus aftertaste. Above average overall.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2019 Refrigerated 0.5 L brown bottle poured into a glass. Hazy golden with small white head. Aroma is tart lemon, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is lemon, wine, some yeast, and a little oak.

500 ml bottle via trade. Pours a lightly cloudy gold with a small white head that vanished quickly. Notes of lemon, white grapes, oak, vanilla, pineapple, apricot, vinegar, white peach, funk, and wine. Light-medium bodied, with modest carbonation and a tart, fruity, acidic mouthfeel. A little undercarbed and a little too high on the vinegar quotient, but pretty good overall.
