tgrtnr (2060) - Germering b München, GERMANY - NOV 9, 2021
UPDATED: NOV 9, 2021 500 ml bottle. Pours cloudy mahogany red with a big fluffy head. Dry citrus notes, orange peel, some caramel, roasted nuts, earthy notes, estery notes, mint, ice candy? Dry zesty bitterness, some malty sweetness. Full to medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, rather dry finish. A really nice and different Dunkelweizen!

Cristobal37 (2249) - Tustin, California, USA - DEC 15, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2018 Bottle. Pours hazy orangey brown, good head. Aroma is bready, citrusy. Taste is wheaty, mint, banana, bread, tart citrus. Finish is all of that, with a chalky mouthfeel. Nice, somehow unique, wheat bier. I like it.

bartlebier (4526) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - APR 9, 2018
50cl MHD 06/18, Maruhn en route to bocky Einbeck. - Lean-pouring maple Dunkelweizen balanced for easy drinkability towards dry fruity caramels (date, brown bread, honey glaze) and just enough rustic charm to keep you interested down to the filling last sip. Faint cinnamon in aroma. Slight stewed vegetal notes (brown mushroom?) provide added alkaline balance to the point where the caramels remain pretty shy to develop, stopping at baked green banana.

Bottle. Cloudy orange-brown, somewhat unstable brown head. Bananas, dates, green bell pepper, and dry spice-rub aroma. Medium full body, wooden dry - less fizzy than it looks. Grassy leafy notes, light catty, a hint chalk/minerals, dry caramel.

“Dikkig” donker bier met een volle maar toch enigszins vlakke smaak. Wel okay, maar er zijn betere in dezelfde prijsklasse.

Beerhunter111 (36080) - Beerland, GERMANY - JAN 20, 2018
50cl bottle. BB 06/2018. A hazy dark amber beer with a huge most good lasting creamy beige head. Aroma of mild bitter orange fruits, caramel, dark fruits, wheat. Taste of caramelish dark malt, mild sweet fruits, orange fruits, nuts, toffee, fascinating!
