COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
HopTown IPA, our flagship beer, has a rich, malty character, an alcohol content of 6.2% and a generous helping of hops (almost two pounds per barrel!). We use Galena hops for bittering and Cascade and Centennial hops for the finish and for dry hopping.

O-town throwdown III 2007. Bomber shared by hopscotch. Pours a hazy peachy amber with a thin head. Aroma is loaded with DMS- tons of cream of wheat doughiness, yeasty dirtiness, grass, chalky and mineral with stale cheesy hops. Flavor is more doughy yeast, corny dms, wheat dough, pastry dough, grass, stale cheesy hops, light toast and a light bitterness- lots going wrong here. Sucks cuz it seems they have probably fixed these problems. My notes are from 3 years ago, but hey are pretty detailed. Ill try to find a bottle and re-rate.

Great sessionable IPA from NorCal...had a few bottles while spending some time in the mountains near Weaverville. Light, flavorful, and priced right!

ansermadide (1526) - Kyle, Texas, USA - MAY 9, 2008
very bubbly, clear golden color, decent white head. unfiltered, floaties at the bottom of the bottle. smelled hoppy and floral. taste is sweet, mildly hoppy, yet strong at the same time. as they say with altoids, "curiously" hoppy. not enough to make your tongue curl up, just a tease. pretty good!

JoeMcPhee (11573) - Toronto, ON, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 3, 2008
Bottle shared by puzzl. Pale amber beer with a nice clean crisp hoppy aroma. Orange and grapefruit over a fairly clean malt base. The aroma is more impressive than the flavour and the beer doesn’t taste nearly as hoppy as it smells. Light breadiness. Still, quite good, if indistinct.

golubj (1377) - San Mateo, California, USA - MAY 1, 2008
Bottle, shared by puzzl. Gold / amber pour, some haze. Aroma is nice, citrus hops, fresh, some caramel malt. Flavor is decently balanced, medium bitterness, same citrus and malt presence. Good but nothing to set it apart.

Bomber. Good aroma, yellow hops, pine, peanut butter. Flavor is quite bitter, lots of grapefruit, salty brine.

Acknud (1083) - Morganfield, Kentucky, USA - MAR 31, 2008
Nice IPA. Pours orange with a small head. Aroma is sharp citrus in nature. Taste is full in the mouth. Very prominent citrus bitterness that finishes cleanly.

kyzr (1638) - Montana, USA - MAR 29, 2008
Hazy orange color with nice sized off-white head. Nice nose of citurs and pine. Flavor is more hoppy than the nose leads on. Big hit up top, then the slight malty flavor rounds out this medium body brew.

ABUSEDGOAT (4006) - California, USA - MAR 26, 2008
Cloudy orange, moderate head with good lacing and retention. Aroma is citrus, pine, some wood, some grass. Medium bodied, moderate to low bitterness. Somewhat light, doesn’t bring the big hop flavors I expect from the C hops.

On tap. Nose is nice citrus hoppiness. Decent looking beer with a full head. Flavor is a good blend of the pineapple hops and a sweetness from the malt, that subsides to a clean bitter finish.
