This beer has a muddy tan color, almost like the old tan M&Ms. has a floral nose to but also some hints of chocolate covered cherries. The initial taste is the same, chocolate cherries over a sour beer. Some will find the chocolate malt notes odd as this is like mash up of a stout and a sour. This is a late spring or early summer beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

deep purple with a brownish head that fades quickly. nose is tart fruit, acidic, mixed berries and lightly vinous. easy palate, bitter sourness up front, followed by acidic berries (cranberry?), and a nice finish.

On tap at Independent, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out tart balsamic and a touch of fruits. Flavour is nicely balanced, with tart dark fruits, some balsamic and a little wood. Fairly dry and coherent. It’s solid, but nothing overly complex. Decent.

Twelve ounces of liquid from CaN .. . Deep purple brown .. Mild medium foam .. Berry skin, dumb jam, mild sour dirty blackberry .. Mouth is very light, as is the acidity .. A starter sour, nice I suppose .. . . It's been at least 6 weeks since I was electrocuted last, I fine though

Tastes more like a turned blueberry blonde than an intentionally sour beer. Maybe it’s an intentionally turned blueberry blonde?

The beer is a nice base dark sour with a mild bitter berry on the back end. This will be my last beer rating as RateBeer has sold out to AB Inbev. Thanks for selling us out Joe, hope it was worth it.

Can thanks to Chow. Pours a hazy copper with medium off white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is berry, leather, earth. Thin body, leather, berry, malty, earth, light tartness, decent.

Can. Dark red/purple tinted brown with a pink tinted beige fizzy head that never quite dissipates. Mild aroma of black cherry, pumpernickel, and some slight sour funk. Tastes medium tart and almost toasted but also quite a bit like cardboard. Medium bodied and dry.

Can. Pours a murky reddish brown in color... Aroma of berries, malts, funk... flavor is berries, rotten malts, dirt... not a fan ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
