Pours a really dark brown almost black in color and topped with a thin tan head of foam that settles quickly and rejoins the body below. The aroma shows notes of rich, dark chocolate, toasted caramel, smooth roasted coffee, charred oak and scotch whiskey with a hint of vanilla. The flavor follows suit with notes of rich caramel, dark chocolate, and lightly roasted coffee up front followed by oaky vanilla and boozy scotch whiskey that lends plenty of alcohol warmth on the back end as well. This one seems a good bit more boozy and not as well balanced as the Red label. Full bodied and smooth with subtle carbonation that leads to a rich, toasted caramel, dark chocolate, and coffee finish with lingering notes of Scotch whiskey and oak and booze. Solid barrel aged imperial stout with good flavors, but not as great as the bourbon barrel version.

heman (2841) - TYCHY, POLAND - OCT 26, 2017intensywny aromat suszu owocowego (czerwone owoce), melasa, sherry, porto. Alkohol wyraźny. Kawa raczej w tle. W smaku przedziwna kompozycja. Początkowo dominuje wysoka słodycz melasy i karmelu, po chwili pojawia się lekko słonawa nuta kojarząca się ze słonym karmelem, a całość wieńczy lekki wiśniowy kwasek. Alkohol jest wyraźny i lekko gryzący. Mało stouta, dużo nut słodowych.

Big heavy sweet cloying nose, showing lots of candy bar--vanilla, chocolate, caramel, some coffee. Sticky thick heavy body with moderate carb. Residual sugars, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, and coffee on the palate. Long cloying finish.
ansalon (4964) - Stockholm, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - MAY 14, 2017Pours black with a low white head. Aromas of caramel, muscovado sugar, chocolate, vanilla, lactose, roasted malt. Taste is very sweet with lactose and muscovado sugar with chocolate and caramel notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation.
tiong (13617) - Espoo, FINLAND - MAY 12, 2017Draught @ MBCC 2017. Pours pitch black with a smooth white head. Aroma of roasty malts, liquor, booze, wood, oak, vanilla, coconut and earthy notes. Taste is smooth, sweet and slightly syrupy with some coconut, booze and liquor notes. Finish is sweet, sticky and syrupy with some boozy notes, roastiness and coconut. A bit unbalanced.
